Vitalik Buterin boasted about his brainchild, the Ethereum blockchain, which has never been shut down, unlike many other digital platforms.
Buterin retweeted a post by ETH developer binji, who said:
Over the past 10 years, the Ethereum network has operated without a single pause or outage for maintenance. During this period, Facebook [a social network banned in Russia] went down for 14 hours, Amazon Kinesis [a data processing service] froze for 17, Cloudflare changed 19 data centers, and altcoin blockchains, well, you know.
Binji attributed the lack of interruptions in the ETH blockchain to its decentralization. Millions of members of the crypto community, including programmers, stakers, and other users of the network, are scattered around the world, as are validators who confirm transactions and add new blocks around the clock every day.

Centralized platforms, such as bank networks, are regularly shut down for maintenance and cannot avoid it because they are controlled by one entity. But the Ethereum blockchain is not controlled by anyone and belongs to all the people who use it.
While banks are collapsing, clouds are gathering, and servers are being patched, эфириум continues to move forward. But sustainability is nothing if no one needs it. Thank you all for creating products based on ETH and developing Ethereum itself, — concluded binji.
